The Mompreneur® Networking Group Inc. was established to provide information, education and inspiration to moms who either wanted to start a business or to develop theirs further. It was established by Kathryn Bechthold, a mom, who like many moms decided that a regular 9 to 5 job would no longer work for her or her family. Although a 9 to 5 job was not in the cards, a second income had to be.

Having been an entrepreneur her entire life, she realized how hard it would be to maintain a new business, with a new family, without some support. A challenge many entrepreneurs face is how to find that support within their small budget as well as a schedule that included soccer practice, ballet class and parent teacher meetings. After many hours of research, she discovered that there were few entrepreneurial education classes offered online and even fewer ways to easily access information for Canadian entrepreneurs for free.

The Mompreneur® Networking Group Inc. was developed in order to meet these needs. It is a constant work in progress and has been developed so that it can easily adapt to the needs of this unique and dynamic community.
